Create a New Archive

Compress files quickly and securely in formats like ZIP, 7Z, TAR.GZ, and KZ.

  1. Select the files or folders you want to compress in Explorer.
  2. Right-click → KingZip → "Compress…", or click "New" in the KingZip main window.
  3. Choose the format (ZIP / 7Z / KZ, etc.) and compression level.
  4. For password protection, enable AES-256 encryption and enter a password.
  5. Click OK — KingZip compresses with multi-threading and saves to the chosen location.
For large outputs, use the split-archive option to divide the result into multiple parts.
